Innovation Masterminds (imYEG) is a pre-accelerator, designed to facilitate the launch of successful commercial ventures from academia. Fueled by university-driven innovative technologies, imYEG is designed to enhance the volume and quality of innovations and commercial activity leaving the university and into Alberta’s business and innovation ecosystem. imYEG is free-of-charge to University of Alberta and University of Lethbridge innovators and plans on expanding its reach, working with postsecondary institutions across Edmonton.

We support researchers right from the inception of their idea or discovery. Whether the researcher is interested in licensing or commercialization, imYEG filters the most promising ideas, providing assessment and mentorship to advance innovative ideas to the market. Innovators have the opportunity to connect with leaders in the Council of Founders, who volunteer their time to support the acceleration of innovative ideas. This gives innovators access to business critique and evaluation for investment.
