We offer three programs designed to give Alberta SMEs the opportunity to enter into a joint project to develop and commercialize innovative technology with a SME partner from China or Mexico.
The projects must address a defined market need while generating economic and social benefits in both jurisdictions and globally.
The aim of each program is to assist for-profit SMEs from the two jurisdictions in establishing global partnerships, while providing access to funding to support strategic, industry-driven commercialization projects that involve novel and innovative products and materials.
Each program consists of rounds usually held once per calendar year. The rounds start with an information session, followed by face-to-face matchmaking and workshops for participating SMEs.
Following the matchmaking and workshops those SMEs are invited to submit an application with their jurisdiction project partner.
